General InformationFriends and Heroes is the result of a huge amount of effort by a large number of people, that's why it looks so good! Many of these people depend on the income from projects like Friends and Heroes to provide their livelihood. It also allows us to continue providing and developing quality materials. Please respect international copyright laws which make it clear that any public performance of this material requires a licence which is separate to the purchase of a DVD copy of the programme itself.
Note that the public display of material recorded from a broadcast is not permitted unless under the terms of an Educational Recording Agency (ERA) licence by bona-fide educational establishments for educational purposes only.
If you plan to show any of the Friends and Heroes series (and we hope you will) to groups of viewers in any kind of public showing (whether or not there is a charge for admission) please obtain a licence from this store prior to arranging the showing.
Although a licence is necessary for ALL public showings, Friends and Heroes waives this requirement and charges no licence fee for a single family occasion taking place within the family home, and only showing to a group of children (for example at a Birthday party or other family celebration), where no fee is charged.
An alternative to purchasing a separate Display Licence is to join the Friends and Heroes DVD Club as a Presenter. This membership includes a display licence covering all types of public display, and is particularly suitable for schools or teachers.

Who Can Be Licensed? There are two classes of licensee - Individual and Organisation:
An Individual Licence permits a named person to display Friends and Heroes DVDs at a showing which they present. As an example it is ideal for a teacher who travels to several schools during the course of a week. It cannot be used by any other person or organisation when the named Individual is not presenting the public display.
An Organisation Licence permits a named organisation to display Friends and Heroes DVDs at showings on the organisation's premises - or at events under the direct control of that organisation. As an example it is ideal for a school which may be using Friends and Heroes materials in several classes at one time (subject to numbers covered under the licence), or by several different teachers at different times. An Organisation Licence can't be used to cover multiple premises, though a single school or church with two sites (eg church and separate church hall) are covered by one licence.
The two types of licence are identical - the type is determined by the person or premsies name. |
